My philosophy on providing medical care

I believe that to provide the best care for a patient, I need to understand her as a person.

What matters to me is not just her medical history but also what makes her "tick"; her likes and dislikes, her fears and strengths, her frustrations, priorities and her lifestyle.

Getting to know a patient is done by simply taking the time to listen. By establishing a trusting relationship, we can then begin to work together to develop healthy options that will best suit her unique needs.

About me

I moved to California from Manhattan, where I grew up next door to New York Hospital, four months prior to the earthquake in 1989. I came here to do my Obstetrics and Gynecology training at Stanford University Hospital. I decided the wonderful weather and a great training opportunity outweighed the earthquake, so I stayed and completed my residency in 1993.

Having just met my future husband, a Palo Alto native, I took a position at Kaiser Permanente-Santa Teresa Medical Center in San Jose, California. While I was at Kaiser I got a lot of experience with pluses and minuses of "HMO Medicine". During my time at Kaiser I founded and directed "The Teen Clinic." The clinic was designed to reach out to an underserved segment of the population, teenage girls. The clinic was designed to meet the unique needs of adolescents with a multi-disciplinary team of Pediatricians, Gynecologists and Family Practitioners. The Teen Clinic continues to be an important part of the services offered by Santa Teresa Medical Center.

After getting married and committing to stay in California, I began my current position as a Partner at Loma Vista Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group. We are located on the border of Los Gatos and San Jose, across the street from Good Samaritan Hospital.

In my free time I am an antique collector, and enjoy skiing, whitewater rafting and other outdoor activities.
